Hi all,
So I've had this problem with my right knee for over 5 years now. Been to doctors, physios, biomechanics, the lot. Nobody can tell me straight what the problem is. Had an X-Ray and anMRI which showed up nothing.
In a nutshell:
- Medial knee pain (right leg) when walking and standing
- Tender spots deep in both glutes, left side particularly, feels like it centres around the ball joints
- Sacrum pain when sitting
- Lower back and oblique tightness when sleeping
- Flat, wide feet
I just have this gut feeling that it might be a leg length discrepancy, with the knee pain on one side and glute tenderness more pronounced on the other.
I'm tempted to try a heel raise but I'm not sure which side would be the longer, and I know it's not always recommended with leg length discrepancies usually being functional rather than structural.
What do we think? Any thoughts, observations, suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob
