Brief Medical History Overview
An injury after cortisone shot due to trigger finger.
Hello,
I have a problem that I couldn't identify. Maybe I should go to a doctor, but I wanted to ask to you first to be sure about how serious my problem is.
For six months ago I developed trigger finger in my both hands' little fingers. It was because of the sustained position, not RSI. But that's my opinion, because as a habit, I was always keep my little fingers in raise and fixed while using computer. I got two cortisone shots in my left little finger with one and a half month interval. I thought it was gone but now... it came with a vengeance.
I am also a guitar player and playing frequently such that I consider myself also a guitarist. My left hand is the fretting hand. After cortisone shots my hand first started to get tired very quickly and now the big problem: a few days ago while playing I felt a sudden and very sharp pain in my little finger. I stopped playing and made that stretch for flexion muscles and I felt again a sharp pain and numbness in my little finger. It wasn't a complete numbness but something with tingling. The later day when I woke up, little finger side of my hand was completely numb with some overlap to my ring finger. It gone a minute later.
So, what I have now is worse than before. By browsing websites I thought it was tendonitis but I am not sre. Does anyone has an idea what my problem is?
