HELP!!!!

Can anyone advise me where my condition maybe compartment syndrome in the calf.

May 2010 - pain in leg on walking/painful calf (left leg). Muscles feel that they get tight on moving. Unable to straighten right leg.
June 2010 - Swollen right leg and foot. DVT's in right leg. Treated for DVT. Able to straighten right leg, now unable to straighten left leg. Muscles tighten on moving (ok on resting). Unable to place left heel on the floor.

Up to present date: Repeatable: After walking a couple of metres, sharpe pain in either left or right legs/muscles in calves tighten consderably. Unable to straighten right leg. When I stop and rub the muscles in my calf, I am able to walk again until the next episode of pain in the legs. Now able to place left heel on the floor.

About 25 years ago I had similar symptoms (I used to play football alot at college) in which I was unable to stand due to the pain in my legs (both). DVT was not present then.

The question also is, if anyone thinks that this is Compartment Syndrome, can it reoccur many years later? (prior to this recent incident, I had be cycling and also, strangley, the day before the pain really kicked in I was standing on my tip toes for an hour washing windows!!! - the next day I really felt the pain and was unable to stand straight).

Thanks for taking the time to read this message.

Fingers crossed someone will reply with suggestions.

Rob
