RSI/tendonitis question
Hi all.
I have had a case of RSI in my left wrist now for around 4 years. For the main part I have managed it by almost totally limiting activities that cause pain, namely typing and playing guitar.
Recently, I have started a course of physiotherapy to rebuild the strength in my wrist so I can attempt to up my levels of activity and herein lies my question:
I am comfortable with weights of around 1-1.5kg and am currently being asked to just undertake the eccentric phase of a wrist curl doing 3x15 reps, twice a day. When I attempt to do any of the above named activities, I get a mild pain (sometimes quite quickly) and so stop. Obviously, with respect to work (currently unemployed) this is quite a hinderance and I would like to get an idea of how long I can expect this rehab phase to last so I can get back to the things I enjoy.
I know it's a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string?' question but a rough idea would be great. Both my physio and I feel that so far the exercises have been beneficial and I already have a marked improvement in my grip but it seems the tendon issues is still lingering slightly.
