Age: 41, Female, Presenting Problem Since: 16 months, Symptom Behaviour: getting worse, Symptoms Worse (24hr Behaviour): same all the time, Investigations: MRI, No Diabetes, No history of High Blood Pressure, Medications: thyroxine, tramadol, No Osteoporosis, No Hx of Cancer, No Unexplained Weight Loss, No Bowel/Bladder issues
I had an MRI Scan in November 2010, and have been told I have a full thickness tear to the Supraspinatus tendon in my left shoulder, with some damage to my bicep tendon, I also have some disc damage in my cervical spine, with 3 discs quite prominently bulging, causing impingement on the nerves. Due to moving right out of the area I lived in, treatment has been severely delayed, the shoulder damage has been there since January 2010, but it took many visits to my GP etc, before I was eventually sent for the MRI scan. I still have a full month to go, before I see the Orthapedic Consultant, in the area I live in now (I was told before I moved, I would need surgery for the torn tendon) the problem I am having at the moment, is the pain is moving further down my arm, my shoulder is very, very painful and very stiff, I am very restricted with movement, but the top of my arm aches an awful lot now too, and I am experiencing pain in my forearm too. Just wondered if anyone had any advice, I do wonder if I am doing too much and should be resting it more??? any advice would be greatly received... Thanks for reading my post.
