Hi
I've just had a right (dominant)5th finger joint replacement done 3 wks ago & currently in a single finger outrigger splint. I'm just wondering at this stage of healing (I've a few autoimmune conditions) what possible damage could be done to the finger if I'm trying to live a relatively normal life (I live alone)? I'm just presuming at 3 wks out I'd have to do some major work to undo the surgery?
I'm just trying to ensure that I can be as independent as previously but within reason, & unsure what NOT to do other than heavy lifting etc, but regardless, of all that I am doing, whether I should maybe be more cautious?
Appreciate any pointers
