Hi
I am getting an acute pain, directly on my right posterior ankle bone (the bit at the base of the fibula?), whenever I wear boots (rather than shoes). Initially I thought it was due to wear or damage on the inside of the collar (if that's the right term) of the boot, but I've tried with various pairs and I experience the same thing.
It does seem to be directly related to simply having pressure from the boot against the bone - I've made a few small rings to place around the bone to keep the boot away from actually touching the bone itself, and this provides a bit of relief, albeit the rings are difficult to make and don't last long!
I'm wondering perhaps if this may be due to sensitivity of the vein which appears to cross directly across this bit of bone, as I'm getting a bit of varicosity elsewhere in my lower legs, although that vein itself doesn't appear varicose.
Is this something that anyone has ever encountered?
Cheers, Jim.
