Major problem / Symptomatic Areas
Ankle - Left
Sprained ankle playing basketball about 7 weeks ago. Diagnosed as a mild sprain. Was in walking boot for a few weeks then slowly transitioned to aircast. Swelling was almost gone entirely until a week ago when it swelled up a little bit. Swollen area is hard and doesn't show typical signs of swelling(redness, etc.). I have been easing back into physical activities to regain range of motion but despite my conservativeness the swelling hasn't changed. Is this normal? How can I address it?

I have gone through a similar event. While playing football I sort of twisted my left ankle inwards, and heard a crackling noise and was sure I had torn most of the ligaments. I tried icing, elevating, compressing and resting it for 2 months. Now there is no pain but a slight swelling on the top part on tge outside that won't go away no matter what I do. Please help me as to what I should do.
