I was done ankle mobilization (traction of upper anklejoint) by a trainee in a podiatry clinic. My lateral ankle capsule and lateralinstep in front of it got clearly painful and sore after that. Not right awaybut starting on my way home from the clinic.

Itīs been already three months after this, butespecially ankle capsule gets still sore. My physiotherapist said that itīssoft tissue soreness and ankle capsule soreness. But he didnīt admit thatmobilization technique was in any way wrong. Trainee pulled my calcaneustowards herself with quite strong and sudden pulls, not with slow and firmpulls.

I myself still believe that the technique was wrong and I wasn't taken safely care of during trainee working under the guidance ofthe physiotherapist.

Can someone place an opinion, if the technique was risky and not orthodox or safe and done right?
