    Knee Swelling

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
    Hi there

when coming down my home stairs i slipped on one step , did a skiing motion left to right. but gained my balance, as i did not actually fall on my bum. i felt a sharp pain in my right outside knee. next day my knees we both sore as if it was cold on my knees. maybe 3 rd day i noticed swelling on both knees, knees seemed locked. the swelling is outside top right of both knees. ,, over the days the selling become increased unable to walk much. at the moment 3 weeks later still swelling in both areas like a lump on each outside top on knees a pocket of a ball lump swelling. plus other swelling around both knees pain on left leg is shooting up inside on thigh. unable to walk much as swelling increases therefore restricts me walking. when i have walked and swelling is worse my legs feel as if giving away as if i going to fall .like iam walking on stilts. balance is not very good when increased swelling. been to hospital. no scans or xrays. told me its soft tissue damage and not serious. and its NOT any ligament damage ?

telephone physio told me nothing to worry about its only swelling to protect my knees due to past trauma. and stated i have no ligament damage ect ect . and advised swelling should be gone in 5 weeks if not , i should contact them ???

any advise would be great thanks , can add photos if needed ?

past history: right need cartridge op on 2009, same knees 3 months later cruciate ligament op. the hamstring option.
arthritis in knees, and ankles from football when younger.

    1) can a nurse with out any scans mri xrap, genuinely conclude that i have no ligament damage . its only soft tissue damage ?
    2) is the physio on the phone correct ? with diagnoses ?

    Kindest Regards
    Sean Green
