All,
Background information: -
Injured party had car accident two days back, she hit her forhead / nose on the back seat / side window therefore led to swelling around forhead and graze on nose. She was advise by hospital to put ice immediately to reduce swelling which was done for 48 hours, therefore swelling around nose has gone.
Current Situation: -
Eyes have become puffy with some bruising around the bottom of both eyes known as 'black eye'.
Question: -
Is there anything can be done to heal / resolve this bruising around the eyes?
How long is usual healing period?

Provided there's no underlying bone damage this should just be simple trauma. Swelling ends up under the eyes due mainly to gravity and the pooling of the fluids. The swelling should go down in a few days however the bruising will slowly come to the surface and resolve over a couple of weeks.
Bless the world for cover-up
