Hi all, i hurt my ankle last week while playing football i landed awkwardly. It was the same ankle i sprained very bad this time last year. It has been stiff for a few days and is quite tender to touch on the inside of my foot just underneath the ankle bone. There was no real obvious swelling and no heavy bruising this time (last time swelling on the outside of ankle) so do i treat it as a sprain or is it a different injury entirely. My biggest problem with it is range of motion in the forward direction (running on the front foot).
I also have persistant pain running up the side of my shins during football matches. Sometimes i have it, sometimes i dont, but usually a break at half time and it is away for the second half. Is it a case of joints not warmed up correctly? my warm up is usually pretty extensive.
Any help on either of these would be most appreciated
