Question working privately from your own home

    Hello everyone,

I'm a Physiotherapist and I'm currently working in a special needs school. I'll be relocating to the midlands in a few weeks and I haven't found a new job yet. So I was wondering if it was possible to work privately from your own home/ visit patients and what would I need to do.Once I've got a new job I'd like to continue to work a few hours privately. I have have a massage degree and am a Manual lymph drainage therapist.

    Kind regards,

    wullie

I am in Australia and have been working from home for 6 years, it will depend on our council rules about working from home and restrictions for parking etc

yes, look at your local councils web site under working from home, there is a restriction in how many people can work from your place without getting a permit, then you just register your address/business name with appropriate bodies, ie registration board, DVA, TAC, BUPA, and off you go. I have a HICAPS/Eftpos machine too but only did cash sales for 2 years and that worked ok
