You would be expected to work within a multitude of States during your contract and within a variety of hospital / clinic settings, however do not worry about travel or accommodation as we provide you with management assistance throughout your contracted period. English Testing (TOEFL iBT Test) May be required
In order to be licensed to practice in any U.S. state, you must prove that you have the necessary English language skills to carry out your professional responsibilities. This requires that you take and pass a standard English language test.
Credentials Review (FCCPT)
A review of your educational credentials is necessary for state licensure purposes and to obtain a Healthcare Worker Certificate, which is required by United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) as part of the immigration process. FCCPT is an agency that will verify and evaluate your educational and regulatory documents and issue the FCCPT Type 1 Comprehensive Credentials Review.
State Licensure
Licensure of Physical Therapists in the U.S. is regulated by the individual states. You must be licensed by the state in order to practice physical therapy in that state. Once you are licensed in one state, you can then endorse that license to other states to provide more flexibility in where you can work.
If you agree to join us we will specify in which state it wants you to obtain the initial license.
While each state differs, the two primary requirements to becoming licensed are
i) your physical therapy education must be verified as equivalent to a U.S. education, and
ii) you must write and pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
Depending upon your current qualifications, the process required prior to applying for a U.S. work visa will take from six to 12 months.
