Is there a clinical competence issue here. By definition, a student does have the required competence to be able to provide 'emergency aid for serious injuries during matches and diagnose, treat and recommend recovery mechanisms'. Do the therapists in the UK not have to register with the HPC to become SRP? Even amateur athletes are entitled to know that their therapist is qualified and deemed competent?
