    rugby

    anyway to play rugby with fractured scalphoid custom playing braces??? impact relief its fractured across the scalphoid in the middle need 2 play asap in a sports cast..

    Would risk playing with a scaphoid fracture. The risk of osteo-necrosis is way too high. even in sports cast
    I would recomend shockwave therapy or magnetic hoop treatment if you want a quick recovery.

    Even if you were to play with a support (which as already mentioned is not advisable as you need proper healing first) the support would need to conform to the IRB Player Clothing laws which many, unfortunatly, don't. Law 4.4 says that you must not wear anything with buckles, clips, rings, hinges, screws, bolts, zippers or rigid material. Anything worn must be elasticated or compressable and washable.

    Due to a realativly poor blood supply the osteo-necrosis that nmarman mentions is a real risk and healing is often slower than with other fractures.
