Hi, I am looking into the one step rule in netball and whether that it is damaging the players. The one step rule is basically what it says: a player can only take one step with the ball otherwise a penalty will be called. Obviously this brings about a lot of start stop motions which are commonly blamed as a cause of ankle and knee injuries. I am wondering if I could get some professional views on whether the one step rule would really cause ankle/knee injuries and if so can they cause permanent damage especially in young children.
If anyone knows where I can find some data on netball injuries related to the one step rule I would be extremely grateful as I have already spent many hours researching and have only found very few useful sites.
Thank you in anticipation.
