    Referring to AT

My family doctor referred me to an AT instead of a sports physio. Do you think it'll make a difference?

    Re: Referring to AT

    Hi,
this is an international Forum. Please don't use abbreviations - consider that they might be country (not language) specific.
    What is AT?
    Cheers, Fyzzio

    Re: Referring to AT

It is Athletic therapy. It's very similar to physiotherapy, but they can't work in hospitals. I'm not sure if it's only here in Canada.

Athletic trainers are very similar to physical therapists, they specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of muscle and bone injuries and illnesses. What problem are you suffering from?
