I was gonna do a day long course in this - but another physio said it's very straight foward; just buy some cups, watch a couple tutorials, then practice and learn.
Does that sound about right?
Is cupping that straight forward?

I took a Course. It is quite straightforward, but the course helps you to practice a bit and learn some precautions. We tend to use too much pressure. Only a light to moderate pressure has great effect- remember less is more!
The contraindications are open wounds, skin problems...the usual.
Precautions: the force of pressure you use has to be adapted to the patient. It should not hurt nor turn blue. Red is good, dark red acceptable, but never blue. Patients taking blood thinners, children and old very thin patients, use only minimum pressure.
Cupping is a wonderful technique in edema, inflammatory cases, scars, muscle tenderness...
Just start with light pressure on first treatments and go from there!
