    Medial knee issue

    Hello,

32 year old male ballet dancer with a strange issue developed around the right knee. Upon extension of the leg (especially when lifted about 45 degrees to the front and side) there is a popping and protrusion occurring on the inside of the knee. Not particularly painful but uncomfortable and obviously the body is not used to it from a muscle memory perspective. Anyone have insight into what is happening here? Best guess seems to be something to do with the hamstring as it is also quite noticeable when engaging in a parallel hamstring stretch and lowering the body at 90 degrees to the floor.

    Thank you!
