Hi there people,
i am one of the most unfortunate physiotherapists that the apc has messed up with. I have only 9 months post-qualified uk experience. I was lucky enough that a company in australia decided to sponsor me to come and work under limited registration and so i launched my 457 app and my limited registration app.
Now 4 weeks later i recieve a letter of rejection and the apc claiming i dont have enough experience in the aged care field which is where the job is. Yet me and the employer both sent them detailed letter showing how i have treated elderly patient and been involved in their care throughout my career. I dont get it? What do i do now?
I am a good physiotherapist, im honest hardworking and i got a 2:1 in my degree. The company is still trying to get answers from them as they really want me to join but i dont know how to overturn the apc's decision. It almost makes me feel like is it even worth it we as physios set out in our career to make a difference and help people but then even after all this only to learn that there are bodies out there who just want to knock your confidence!
They want me to pay another $550 to appeal but i dont know what else i can give them to prove to them that i am a good physiotherapist and i can make a difference for the public of australia. I am willing to do whatever it takes as i am searching for a good life and different lifestyle and i want to help but they seem adamant to make it so difficult to the point that i feel like i should jus give up altogether??
Can anyone help me please? Any ideas are welcome? I feel like its been an uphill struggle with the apc since i started the process?
