Hi!
Here is my situation:
I am a PT in Montreal, Canada. I graduated in 2012 with a master degree (4.5 years of university) and I've worked since then in the cardiopulmonary field. I want to move in Australia in october 2013 to work as a PT. So far, I find lots of information online about the migration/assessment process and I am confused.
I think I have to apply for a Skilled Migration Visa (189) as an independent worker. By the way, this visa costs 3060AUS...that's expensive, no? I have made an EOI (expression of interest) on the DIAC website but as I was doing it I found out I am missing a lot of information. I am mostly confused about which steps I need to do first.
The APC website tells to:
- Get your skills recognized by the ACP
- Register with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Get insurance
- Obtain a visa
- Find a job!
Is it the right thing to do? If there is here any Canadian PT working abroad, I would really be grateful for information or feedback about this complicated process.
Noemie
