Full Australian Registration or Trans Tasman Agreement

Advertise your physiotherapy job on Physiobob's Job
    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a bit of advice. I'm thinking about making the big move down to Australia after 5 years working in the NHS.

I am just wondering whether to bite the bullet and apply for the full Australia registration or to go via Trans Tasman Agreement as I have travelled in New Zealand and would be happy to work and live there for a while.

However, I have heard that it is becoming more difficult for overseas Physios to obtain jobs in Australia via the Trans Tasman?

I wondered if anyone has any advice on this? Or any insight into what Australian employers are looking for in overseas applicants. Including how favourably they are looked on if coming via Trans Tasman?

    Any help would be great.

    Many thanks,

    Gina

    Hi,
sorry, cannot give you any advice on which one is the better way, but finding a job in Australia has got nothing to do with the way you obtain your full registration. NZ Physios are well regarded in Australia and vice versa.
    Cheers,
    Fyzzio
