Hi

I'm a Danish physio who wants to work in British Colombia, Canada. I do not plan to immigrate or get permanent residency, but work as a physio for a year or two.

But I get confused when I get to the VISA/work permit part.

This is my plan so far: (If possible?)

- Apply and get the credentials through the Alliance
- Travel to Vancouver and start the bridging program (I can be in Canada for 6 month on a tourist Visa)
- While I study, I will try to find a employer that will hire me when my work permit is in order.
- Get the employer to apply for a LMIA (labor Market Impact Assessment)
- Pass the written exam

This is where I get confused:

I know I can apply for interim registrations through CPTBC, but I need a work permit. I found different suggestions on Citizenship and Immigration Canada | Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada, and the easiest way would be to apply from inside of Canada, but I don't know if that's possible? If I need to apply from outside of Canada it would be to expensive for me to travel to Denmark, apply for a work permit and then fly back. Do anyone know if it's possible to apply from the US? If it is, how does the whole process work?

Does anyone have some answers or experience with work permits?
