Any filipino physios undergoing alliance credentialing?

Hi! I am a filipino physio currently working in the United Arab Emirates.

I was wondering if there are any filipino physios out there who are currently processing their papers for the alliance?

I have read through some threads and found a few that mentioned that filipino physios are not eligible to sit the PCE. But I have also found a website for the philippine educated physios in Ontario, so I guess we are qualified?

Although i think some of us were required to take additional courses but they are all about the canadian health care system... or so i was told...

I graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in 2002. Anyone out there? alumni? kababayans? help

    email me [email protected]

Re: Any filipino physios undergoing alliance credentialing?

Are you making the assertion that you are being discriminated for being 'filipino'?

Or that the university that you graduated from is not fully recognized during the credentialling process?

Massive difference between the 2, please clarify

discriminated? oh no. im sorry if my post may have given you the wrong impression. the posts that have mentioned filipino physios weren't specific as to what schools they came from. it just said that in general. here's one of the posts i found...

    Re: Physiotherapy accreditation in Canada

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However , The accrediation canadian authority usually says it has to assess all the basics education of every appplicant regardless country of origin or practice , but It is sure that licence in USA and year of practice will make her chance better espicially undergraduate Philipiness studies are not of high value for NZ , Canadian Physio.licence Authorities .Even ,there is an article called FAQ from that accrediation alliance in Canada ,you can find through it their view regarding philipiness graduates

    cheers
    Emad

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i have gone through the alliance's FAQs trying to find where their view regarding philippine graduates are as mentioned in the post above but couldn't find it. thats why i decided to start a thread.

anyway, ive already emailed the alliance and asked if they already have my school's syllabus in their data base and they promptly replied and said they do. so this means that some physios from my school had already applied for credentialling. sadly though i am yet to hear from any of them. im just gathering all the information i could so i can come up with an intelligent decision whether to go ahead and apply for credentialling as it takes a lot of money.

if you know of any philippine-educated physios, i would greatly appreciate any kind of feedback or advice
