Help please!! - NZ registration

Hi guys after a 12 month struggle my application was sent back within 3 weeks and has basically been ripped apart. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm a UK physio applying for registration.

The following issues have been identified:

1) It appears they want my intended date of arrival and immigration/VISA status. I'm not sure of the exact date (only month) and have not yet applied for my VISA, do I need this first before I can apply?

2) My items of work section in my checklist has been incorrectly completed?? not sure why. Does anyone have an example please?

3) The competency templates have not been referenced to my supporting evidence in line with board criteria. Does anyone have an example please?

4)I was unaware I had to get my documents certified by a solictor, any ideas how much this costs?

5) they request an original HPC certificate confirming my registration and 'good standing'. Not sure how I can prove 'good standing' as I only have the certificate?! Any ideas?

Any help would be most appreciated, please please please! I am in quite a mess with this application and am considering giving up all together. I'm really relying on you guys. Sorry for asking. I aim to contact them directly also.

1) No you don't need this, you just need to put the date you would plan to come and say getting your visa is dependent on getting your registration - you won't come until you are registered as you want to come to New Zealand to work as a physio and if you can't do this you aren't planning to come / can't financially justify coming / whatever your reason is.

2) Not sure about this sorry.

3) I appendix numbered all my evidence then wrote the title in the table, then appendix number in the reference column so it was easy for them to find everything.

4) It cost me £60 a go, but I missed some the first time and ended up going twice. Also I think it has to be a notary which is more highly regarded than a solicitor (I might be wrong but this was my understanding when I did it)

5) You just phone up the HPC and say you want a letter of good standing. They will post this too you - just reference it in your contents and put it in - it's just a 1 page document saying your rego dates and that you don't have any convictions etc.

Hi Ashley, I am also stuck on the competencies like Anna is. I'm trying to do my neuro one
When looking at the template they've given there are three boxes with row 1., row 2. and row 3. but they always ask for the same things -physiotherapy programme, c.v and it's only row three that wants you to state the evidence. I'm not sure why or what you would put in the first two boxes row 1 and 2 as they have nothing to do with neuro.Also the actual competency for neuro component 1.1-1.9 is all about analysing normal patterns and explainig pathological processes etc. How do we give evidence for this and what box do we write the evidence (is it row 3 which says to list it) i'm a bit confused about your idea of the appendix and your help and explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Hi Mel,

For row 1 I listed University modules and clinical placements appropriate to each of 3 sections (neuro, CVR and MSK), evidenced by my university transcript.
Row 2 - post-qualification experience, e.g. participation of on call rota, competency questionnaires etc, evidenced by CV and work history and row 3 was my evidence (appendiced previously, and listed in this row).

However, Anna must have hers completely right as mine was sent back with the incorrect referencing being stated as a problem! I could share if you like? How far are you with your application and when do you intend to go, I'm in October so rushing now!

I am nearly there (after 12 months graft), minus a visit to a solictor and an ACPO check, and my points 2 and 3 that I made below that I'm waiting to hear from people hopefully :S

Hi Ash,
thanks for your reply. It's much greatly appreciated. This form is a lot more complicated then i realised. I've pretty much completed it and have most bits of evidence but the templates have completely confused me and i don't know how to put it in an order. If you could share the referencing stuff that would help so much. I'm hoping to go for October time as well and i know someone said it took 4 months to process once they've sent it because of the problems so I wanted to iron out any problems first.
