Hi everyone,

I am a UK physio, currently doing my MSc Physiotherapy (Pre-reg) after having done a BSc Sport and exercise science.

I have been looking into the process for moving to the USA, I want to move to michigan to work.

I understand the steps;
Licensing in the state you choose
Credential checks (fccpt)
H1B Visa

But I would like to know any information anyone can give about General education credits?

As I do not know how our Secondary and sixth form/college education is judged... I have checked the fccpt website and looked at the CWT-5 form, which states that we require 60 credits overall. But are our GCSEs included in this, as the forms require Physics and chemistry credits, which I have not done since GCSE.

I do not understand the credit system, as we dont not have this in the UK; how will GCSE and A levels be credited?

I have looked into it and there is a CAPTE accredited course in Aberdeen in the UK, which is exactly the same as the course I am on now, so how can they not require the general education check, just because there Physio course is accredited... does not seem fair.

Any information is appreciated...

Regards,

Sam
