Advice needed - UK trained physio living in The Netherlands

Having moved to The Netherlands, I would like to continue to work as a physio but understand this is not easy. I am now a Dutch resident and understand the registration process for my UK degree. I will soon be attending Dutch language lessons.

My main questions:

1) Is it possible to work as a physio or physio assistant in the Netherlands without speaking fluent Dutch?
2) Other than learning Dutch, any further suggestions for improving my chances of securing a job here (location/specialty/contacts)?

Any advice from UK trained physios that are working in the Netherlands or Dutch physios would be much appreciated.

Hi there,

I am a Dutch physio, but it is quite hard at this point to get a job. We are with too many graduated physio's and not enough job oppertunities
Most of the jobs are temporary at this point, so you're only there during holidays or pregnancy leave.
It is possible for you to work as a physio without speaking fluent Dutch. As long as you understand the basics and as long as you can communicate with your patient it shouldn't be a problem (not all of them can speak English, but most of us can do basics ). There is even a possibility you can find a job quicker than a Dutch physio, because you're from abroad and for some practices more interesting.

Or you can just try walk-ins, introduce yourself in practices in the neighborhood and see if they can help you..
