    Re: Chest PNF

Our messages have been lost in cyberspace.
For more information regarding PNF in general go to IPNFA - from facilitation to participation - Introduction
    the world organisation for PNF.
I have used trunk patterns in treating all sorts of patients but do not know of a specific technique to treat lung problems. These patterns can help mobilise the thorax and strengthen all kinds of related muscles. But I never learn specific Chest PNF and do not even know if it exists.

Maybe another member of the association can help you out.

    good luck
    Esther

    Re: Chest PNF

I will attempt to locate PNF techniques for Postural Drainage. In the mean time consider Postural Draining Techniques with Percussion for effective mobilization of secretions. Educating the individual with the Active Cycle of Breathing with Effective Huffing is also effective to facilitate self-management of secretions. See attached for Postural Drainage recommendations. You can always add PNF Chop/Lift Patterns with Effective Huffing to facilitate clearance if pt appropriate.
Hope this helps and take care.
