    Whats the difference in rehabilitation of Post CABG and Post MVR ..

    Hello to all

    Please enlighten me with your knowledge and experience for the cardiac rehabilitation in case of Post CABG and post MVR ... what all different steps are taken tin case of both ??

    hi thr...rehabilitation as sch in post CABG n MVR wnt differ tht mch coz both r aft surgery and d pathology r already removed.u shud proceed wit the usual 4 phases of cardiac rehab..bt during d exercise precription phase u shud b careful abt ur patient's THR...n thn only prescribe d intensity..thts hw it differ thts all...ths is as far as i knw...ny other views r welcomd...

    but now days most of the CABG are done off-pump, if there is no other major complication present, while MVR is done only on-pump, so in that case what is the difference in their rehabilitation protocol ???

    on pump n off pump r d diff surgical procedures.in on pump d hrt is stopped cmpltly wit a heart lung machiene..wheras in off pump, surgery is performed in beating hrt...rehabilitation as sch wnt differ tht mch bt u hv 2 b aware of d complications of individual procedures...

    I agree with you but there are differences in their physiological changes thats why rehabilitation protocol differ in both cases. thats what i know but i dont know what exactly differences in their rehab protocol. so any support, references and suggestions are welcome and i am eager to know about it ....
