There are many Respiratory Physiotherapist in large Teaching Hospitals (NHS) Trusts that cover this type of work on daily basis. The best is to research the Organ Transplant Centres ,as they will inform you of the Hospitals that have the units in place for this type of Surgery.
The scope of Physiotherapy starts from ICU setting to the High Dependency setting on the Transplant wards. There are Heart,Lung ,Liver and Renal transplant units.
I have worked in these units...and the Physio role is quite extensive ,as the patients are complex in Pathologies including the Psychological aspect.
Hope this touches a bit of an "iceberg".![]()
