    re: electrophysical agents

    Taping
We're looking at confusing evidence concerning pulsed SWD. Guidelines for application from euipement manufactureres are not in accordance with recomendations in current in the literature. We would welcome any helpful comments/advice.

    re: electrophysical agents

Please take a look at the Electrophysical Agents Home Page at http://health.shinshu-u.ac.jp/PT/electro/index.htm . You will find information of dosimetry (as provided by clinical studies) for all the EPA modalities in use. In particular, you question about dosimetry for pulsed SWD is summarised at http://health.shinshu-u.ac.jp/PT/electro/swdstudies.htm
If you have any specific questions, I would be happy to answer them as well.

    Re: electrophysical agents

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
I would have to disagree with the comment that dosimitry is supported by clinical evidence, it is definately not. There is no evidence to prove dosimitry parameters although there is some laboratory evidence to show that there may be some physiological changes associated with SWD. As observed above there is almost very little use of PSWD with even less use of SWD. If in doubt use athermal doses until you are sure of no adverse effects and ensure you check contraindications to treatment with PSWD/SWD.
