    Physiotherapist with arthritis

    Taping
Before all, sorry about my english. I´m from Spain and my girlfriend is studiying her 3º year physio career.

From some weeks she is suffering pain on her hands (fingers) and probably has arthritis. It´s a great problem on her proffesion and i don`t know what to say or advice her.

Her intentions would be specialice herself on neural physiotherapy but with arthritis i don´t know if could be capable to achieve it...

I suppose, more people will be in the same situation and well you know... she is scared and me too...

any kind of advice is welcome

    thanks in advance and regards

    Sergio

It is quite normal to have pains in the hand at the beginning of a physio career. This can be assisted by looking at the way certain techniques are done and also the just giving the body time to accommodate to the new demands.

Trust me that a physios hands get stronger with time but even then we all get some aches and pains now and then. Espeically if we have a run of clients all sufferinnng from neck complaints.

If she does have an arthritic type issue then neurophysio should be one of the lesser demanding areas on the hands.

    Dolor en los manos

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
Hombre, no te preocupes!
