the joke is on us,

English is a difficult language to pronounce.
I find that the Spanish ( who do not pronounce the letter h...in their language), have difficulty with some of the english words especially if they start with an H. My husbands´name is Hans, so his name here is ans.

So I can imagine others having problems as well. That might be the reason for the misunderstanding.
I would say, always ask your teachers to spell everything. That makes looking things up on the internet a lot easier.
