    electro-interferential therapy

    hello,
    i am physiotherapist.i need some information regarding IFT
    i am practising in india
    here we are all using ift regularly
    i need about sweep and base
    and also about the frequency
    for example
    back pain-we are practising 80-100
    i.e. 80-base & 100-sweep
    whetere it is effective?
    can u give full detail

    Try finding a book by Low and Reid called electrotherapy explained. It should cover your topics of interest. Also you should post this messgae in the EPA forum. You will get more answers there

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
    IF is facing a few tough years, it seems to be standing in the corner collecting dust in many hospitals and PP's
    Theoretically there is a setting for acute and chronic pain but a can't remember what it is. Really, it's a bit like tens, just use what the patient likes best, it's only symptomatic treatment. It will not cure them, it actually makes them more dependant!
