You should proceed as if you'd had a hamstring tear - give it 2 weeks before starting active rehab of them
Hello
When can one start doing hamstring curls exercises after an ACL reconstruction with hamstring graft, with as little weight as 0.5kg and 40 reps? How much time should be allowed for healing of the muscle before weight training can start? Can the muscle (semitendinosus) retract if weight training is applied as soon as one week after the operation?
Best regards,
Arni

In the book "ACL Made Simple" by Ben Johnson, pg. 149, says for week 6-9 "Hamstring reconstruction patients may start hamstring-resisted exercises."
This indicates that applying weight exercises to the muscle should not be done before week 6. Do you disagree to this?
No your right that at 6 weeks is when you should start weighted exercises. I meant to give it 2 weeks of rest. At 2 weeks I feel it's ok as long as the patient is educated adequetly on the risks of hurting the tendon that we can start hamstring curls unweighted and very gentle stretching.
If however you (or I) don't feel my patient will be able to restrain themselves and will overstretch or work the muscle too hard then I would wait till 6 weeks.
