    clinical teams

    Taping
Ward-based clinical teams are to be introduced at our Community Hospital. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has experience of working in such a team, particularly to see the advantages/disadvantages compared with being managed in a physio dept.

    re: clinical teams

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
The John Hunter Hospital at Newcastle, NSW Aust, tried this concept about 8 years ago. It did not work for several reasons - the loss of support from Physio professional leaders; loss of autonomy and very hard to set up appropriate protocols/procedures - the tendency was to be a 'worker' rather than a professional. It would be worthwhile contacting them for details.
