Hi all,
I am about to start my second year of a three year physio course, and I am starting to think a bit about getting a job in a couple of years. What I would like to know is are there any short courses that I could do over holidays that would look good on a CV and/or be good for my continued development anyway?
I am qualified personal trainer and sports masseuse, and so far have come up with two that I am quite interested in doing:
1) BACR phase 4 cardiac rehab instructor
2) APPI pilates instructor
I am wanting to do the APPI course anyway as it will help me with my personal training business, but my question with the cardiac rehab instructor qualification is will it add any value to my physio degree? In other words, when I qualify, would my physio degree be more highly regarded in that field, or would having the BACR phase IV be a great addition to it? As a physio, my understanding is that you are allowed to run cardiac rehab classes anyway?
Are there any other courses that you can think of that you wish you had done at university? Anything else that would be good for me at this stage?
Thanks
