hi im currently a fourth year physio student, and faced a patient with leprosy espesially in the hands, swan-neck deformities of the second ray, boutenier of the fourth and fith ray as well as flexion "contractures" in the fourth and fifth ray of the other hand... the sores are still very big and open...the patient is currently recieving medication... in my clinical area there are no occupational therapists as this is a very rural area... the physio department is also very ill equiped... will ultra-sound therapy and mobilizations with strenghtening of the extensor and flexors of the hand be sufficiant in regaining mobility and function?
