    Any tips?

    Taping
Hello all, I am currently struggling to form a solid research title/idea for my dissertation which is in the form of a systematic review which will compare a physiotherapy intervention. I have investigated / scanned the literature with three possible ideas, and so far each time i find that its not feasible due to either lack of RCTs or there has recently been a systematic review carried out. Does anyone have any tips of how i can find a gap in the literature? or have over the years ever found that they would of liked more information/evidence for any intervention for a condition? for example one of the failed ideas investigated was conservative management of EXERTIONAL COMPARTMENT SYNDROME which presented no RCTs from literature.

Would appreciate any of your comments

    Thanks

    Re: Any tips?

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
    Hi James,

You should pick a topic that is of interest to you. That will keep you interested and motivated during the process.

For areas requiring further research, try looking at recent papers and at the end of the discussions should be a paragraph highlighting were further research is required.

I am carrying out a project at the moment into the effects of kinesio taping and sports performance. There is very little research on the topic so that may be of interest to you. My alternative to this project was to carry out a systematic review on the prevention of ACL injuries but I'm not sure if this has already been done.

    Good luck!
