July 20th 2011 my extensor digitorum longus tendon was cut in the ankle area.
July 25th I went in for surgery to have the tendon repaired.
I was put in a back slab cast which I had to cut open the next day cause the swelling
was unbearable. I never took my foot out, but I did open it from time to time. Either way 3 weeks later on Aug 17th I went back to the hospital for my first check up to see how things were recovering. The doc said everything was healing fine and he put me in an air cast. I was told for the first week to take it easy and for weeks 2 and 3 to walk around in the air cast. He said week 4 for me to walk around without any cast.
I'm really just curious if this is enough healing time. It will only be 6 weeks when I'm walking without a cast.
A second opinion would be great!
Thanks.
