    New Zeland Physiotherapy

    Taping
Hi my name is Fabio I'm 24 years old , i' m italian and i have some questions about NZ physiotherapy.
I'm going to get soon (no more than 3 months) an university degree in physiotherapy here in italy... so i would like to know how is it considerd in New Zeland? simply i could be a physiotherapist in NZ too, or i need to integrate/improve my degree with something more. then is the job offer good or it' pretty hard ?
thank you for reading my mail, for me would be just important find some answer or find someone that could answer these questions.
Sorry for my English and thank you ,
    Fabio

    Re: New Zeland Physiotherapy

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
    Hi Fabio,
you need to apply for registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board.
The Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand > Registration - Overseas Qualified Physiotherapists

Once you have mastered this, you can then apply for an Annual Practicing Certificate, which will enable you to practice.

You will also need to apply at Immigration for a work permit.

The work situation is not the greatest. Also, I think, there is something about NZ employers having to prove why they employ a foreigner, if there are NZ or Commonwealth Physios available for employment. But I am not sure about this.

    Regards,
    Fyzzio
