    Choosing pysiotherapy to study

    Taping
I decided I wanted to study something in health, physiology, massage, healing. I'm very active myself, yoga, hula hoop, juggling and I'm really interested in how the body works. Also after hurting myself a few times I've become increasingly interested in how to fix it, how to feel good, how to be careful and respectful to the body and to understand it.
After some thought I decided on Physiotherapy, it seemed to offer what I was looking for until I started reading about osteopathy and now I'm divided and looking for more info.

I have a few questions about physiotherapy. In how much depth does it explore the human body, as I understand it concentrates on the musculoskeletal system but does it also go into the functions of the brain and the circulatory, digestive and lymphatic systems for example?

I live in Budapest, Hungary and I'm happy here so I dont want to move to study. I found a good physiotherapy course but I cant find anything about osteopathy yet. Does anyone know anything about osteopathy in Hungary?

I didn't do any sciences any school and I'm going to have to do some work before any entrance exams, does anyone have any advice on where to start. Would it be enough to get some high school textbooks and study myself or should I do some kind of anatomy course?

Thank you all so much for any help.

MSK system is heavily indepth. The circulatory/pulmonary systems are also looked into very heavily. If you were interested in digestive or lymphatic, you could do further courses in lymphoedema for the lymphatics side (if you want to do any reading now, type Vaughan Keeley into a search engine (google scholar etc) to get some decent quality lymphoedema info. Digestive, if you decided to specialise in surgical physio then that would be worth knowing, as would different types of surgeries and the location of the surgery site.

I know nothing about doing physio or osteo in hungary, however the uni's in the UK all respect the Open University SK277 Human Biology course. However, without any science background, you may struggle to get accepted as it is very indepth. I suggest you look into a night school to study whatever science qualifications you missed out on at school, and get them under your belt.

    Good luck!
