    Bit Confused

    Taping
When I posted an opportunity on the forum for newly qualified PT's to have a great chance to work at the Heads of the River in Reading, I thought I would be inundated with calls and enquiries, so far only 5, and then one of thoes has realised she is doing a course on the day. So I am confused. If there are SO many PT's wanting jobs in the UK, how come so few replies to my posting?
Surely there are more PT's who can be in Reading on the 10th March for this great opportunity?

    Re: Bit Confused

Are you are keen to get experience working with athletes? Willing to give up a day to help at a sports event ? Happy to do it for just the involvement ? Then give me a call. You WILL need to be capable of sports massage, as you WILL do a LOT of sports massage. Preferably you have your own portable treatment table, professional indemnity and public liability insurances. You must be willing to work as part of a team, and dont expect to see ANY Sport. It will be a LONG day, you will be much in demand. We need 10 or more Physios, some with over 3 or 4 years experience, some newly qualified.
Contact me via email please, naturally only HPC registered
Maybe no one wants to do it FREE?

If all grads think about is money.....

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
Well maybe they need to rethink their values then. I am not getting paid to provide this. No money being made by me from this. I will be paying OUT for strapping, supplies, all sorts.
I do it because I LOVE working with sports, Athletes, and my career...

PLUS when I originally worked with sport and travelled with the British Judo Squads overseas, to UK events, all sorts, I was prepared to do it FREE. NO PAYMENT AT ALL. Strangely I enjoyed the learning.
In fact I had to take holiday time to do it.
Time with squads at Commonwealth Games...UNPAID... just accomodation paid for.... all sorts.

    What outcome?
A HUGE network of contacts who have grown with each other through contacts made at sporting events, and mega experience of treating injuries and invaluable first contact care never achieved through NHS outpatient work.
    Hey ho...
But then this is the loony who has funded about £50,000 for various forms of training in the past 12 years.....

    Somehow
    Money just comes
What you put out is what you get.
Think I do this for the money, and you wont get clients
