“Physiotherapists who provide domiciliary services only… we no longer recognise providers who are unable to offer members access to dedicated practice facilities and therefore to ensure we treat all physiotherapists fairly we will not be renewing contracts with clinicians who only offer home services”.
Unbelievable, how does this bare any relation to 'treating physiotherapists fairly'? When are we all going to wake up and start a non-BUPA provide network. I have been suggesting this for years but it seems there are only about 3-4 other who get it. Maybe we have to be totally crushed as a profession by the health insurance companies before a fire might rise from the ashes. Unfortunately it seems in Britain this is an unlikely possibility.

So sorry you home physio services, you might have just lost a big part of your business. I am sure a local BUPA practice or hospital will be there to pick it up from you! just saying....

BUPA are also the biggest care home operator in the UK and are buying hospitals right, left and center. What this all means is that as the UK government moves to privatize the healthcare sector BUPA and a few others will be in line to pick up the majority of the business. So be warned if you're not in the clic, then you might miss out all together.

We must STOP this before it is to late.
