Hello, dear physios!
I have a problem in my country and I'd like to hear your opinion.
Somehow there are few orthopaedic doctors that understand the need of PT. I work in a large out patient clinic and it happens very often that patients after trauma or orthopaedic problems/surgery have attended to PT only after suggestion from a friend or relative or a suggestion from general practitioner whom I know. Recently after an ankle sprain, one orthopaedic doctor suggested a patient to not do any movements for 2 weeks(!) after not serious (grade I) sprain. Luckily today after a week he contacted me.
Question is - what should I do to increase doctors to suggest more patients go to PT's.
