Dear Physios
I am practicing in residential care for elders setup. Can u explain the evidence, wheather v can practice manip for elderly or not, pls give the reason based on evidence, and author. Five years ago I learnt Maitland techniques and last month I attended Mulligan technique comparing both techniques, my lecturer says Mulligan technique can use for elders but still I couldnt get any evidence. As I know manip is not safe for elders, but it depends on individual have weakness of connective tissues and diminished circulation but still v can use this techniques within tolerance of tissues may be beneficial to increase mobility.
Pls hepl me to take decision
