    Treatment for sprained ankle.

    Taping
    Hello all,

Last time when I sprained my ankle, I tried RICE treatment but it didn’t help me, the pain and swelling remained the same. When I was digging around to find a solution, one of my friend who is

physicist at Athletic edge in Toronto done needed rehabilitation. It includes 3 phases, during the first phase, they tried to protect and reduced the swelling of my injured ankle. Insecond phase, theyrestored my ankle’s flexibility and strength. And in the final stage, they asked me to do some exercises and after these three stages I wascompletely fine.

    Re: Treatment for sprained ankle.

    Hi,
    just to clarify.
RICE is not a treatment for an injury it is only First Aid !!!!!

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

    Re: Treatment for sprained ankle.

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
As you stated RICE is the starting point however in Australia with our clinics we recommend RICER - Rest Ice Compression Elevation and Rehabilitation.
