Is being naked ok for physio patients?

    Taping
This question goes out to all Physios worldwide. Is it ever ok to ask (CONSENT!) a patient to remove their underwear (knickers, panties) for soft tissue treatment of gluteal, hip flexor or other pelvic-located muscles? Would love to hear from physios around the world to gauge what is considered appropriate (and inappropriate) across different cultures and countries.

Re: Is being naked ok for physio patients?

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
It was suggested to me by one therapist that if i wanted i could take my underwear off as i was having lower back and glute work done. I kept my underwear on because I wouldnt feel comfortable even with the towel, but I did always wonder about this. to this day i dont think there was anything seedy going on but I did wonder if there are general standards on this sort of thing
