Hi physio community, my son a fit, sporty, fencer 17 years old has been suffering of anterior superior iliac crest pain for over 2 months now.
He trains 3 times a week as a fencer and competing internationaly. Three months ago he came with a pain at his groin/ anterior iliac crest region after some exercising and of course lots of lunging, that is always done with his right leg forward. After some rest it when away, then he did hit this spot (ant s iliac crest) and the pain came back. The pain is worst with hip flexion and resisted adduction at times he limps due to the pain. He has had a couple of treatment sessions which have been that of ultrasound and mega pulse. As no change has happened he has had a MRI to investigate further. Report, 'Bilateral asic spine apophysitis , moderate on the rt and mild changes on the lt. there is no avulsion fracture. Bilateral CAM lesions, Rt more prominent compare to the left'.
I would appreciate some advise on how to proceed. Thanks in advance. Soft hand
